Article Title: Snow, snow and more snow

We are pleased to announce that at Dance Direct we are still very busy, taking, processing, picking and packing orders for dancewear, ballet tights, leotards and jazz shoes.

The recent snowfall hasn’t managed to interrupt our business, we are still fully staffed and our parcels have been going out on time, with the exception of Wednesday when there was no collection after the first severe downfall, but we were able to get all of the backlogs cleared by Thursday and have been on track since. It seems that the speedy delivery of dancewear to customers at this time of year is not as crucial as during the back to school period or around exam time, although we are still working as hard as we can to get orders out to customers as soon as possible and always striving to deliver the best Customer Service.

No matter what the weather, it doesn’t stop people from browsing through our products and placing orders online or over the telephone and with hundreds of schools shutting recently and lots of people being snowed in or having to take extra time off work to look after the family it has just given them even more time to look at our superb collection of quality cheap dancewear and browse through our extensive range of ballet leotards, tights and ballet shoes. Not forgetting our online January sale items which are quickly going fast.

We did manage to take a little well deserved break in-between taking and preparing customer orders, to build a beautiful snow-woman which is standing proud in the car park at the front of our Dance Direct building situated in Melksham, she is wearing a pretty fluorescent yellow tutu and stands out for everyone to see that passes by. We are now hoping for another snowfall so we can make her a dancing partner because she is looking rather lonely, although we don’t quite know how he’s going to lift her off the ground to dance because she’s stuck fast. We also posted a snowman competition on Facebook which turned out to be one of the most popular competitions we have done so far. We have already chosen 2 winners and sent them each a hoodie to keep them warm during this current cold weather.

The Marketing team have also been very buy adding the finishing touches to the new catalogue which will be going to print in the last week of February 2010, there is a lot a proof reading, last minute changes and panic in the air at the moment. The new catalogue is our best ever yet and is filled with hundreds of new leotards, accessories, hoodies, a whole new range of urban dance wear and much much more. We simply cannot wait until the launch so we can share our excitement with our customers.
