Move It, Competitions and Urban Dancewear

We are now on our way to the Move It show in London which takes place over 3 days; Friday through to Sunday this week. We are very excited about meeting the public and seeing some of our customers face to face, this will be a great insight for us to see what is going on within the Dance Community. We also decided to add a super bright fluorescent pink neon sign saying Dance Direct to our stall, which will stand out and look really vibrant and funky.

The recently launched online Hide and Seek competition was a great success, and in only 2 days we already had the first 5 winners through by email and they have now each received their free fabulous urban dance Plume hoodie (product ref: PTU0045 in colour Raspberry), this stunning hoodie is one of the new urban dancewear products featured in our latest catalogue which has only been out a couple of weeks, and it’s a definite must have for all dancers. We are aware this was quite a tough competition because the little gold star was really well hidden so big Congratulations to all the people who managed to spot it!

We are having an Easter Egg Hunt competition which will be launched at the end of March, a little Easter Egg will be hidden on one of our product pages on the website www.dancedirect.com and this time we will be making it a lot easier to find, so there will be no need to spend hours of precious dancing time looking for the little egg. Again, the first 5 winners will receive the free garment on which the egg will be hiding.

After a slow year for our urban dancewear in 2009, mainly due to the credit crunch and then the countries recession, we are very pleased to say that it is now back on track. We are aware that we also didn’t quite get the selection of products or the pricing structure right last year so this year we have pulled out all the stops to bring the dance community and our customers exactly what they are asking for. The new range of Plume urban dancewear is proving to be a big hit and consumers are treating themselves more and more at the moment, with our new catalogue there is so much to choose from, new vibrant dance hoodies in turquoise and raspberry, dance Capri pants in various colours and styles and lots of new bold dance tees in bright colours including fluorescent pink and yellow. We will be introducing lots more new products onto our website throughout the year.
