Mezzanine Floor: Photo Studio

The smell of fresh paint is still lingering in the air; the painters have been here working hard this week adding the finishing touches to our new photo studio and the floor is currently being painted as I type. Dance Direct now has its very own ultra modern, fresh and flawless photo studio. We have invested a substantial amount of money in purchasing state of the art professional photography and video equipment ready to capture our gorgeous new dancewear products in still and in motion, and are praying that the paint will be completely dry by Wednesday because we have a full day photo shoot going on which we cannot wait to get our teeth into. This full day shoot will involve photographing beautiful new Bloch leotards and Capezio leotards ready for our next launch of new Limited Edition products for the near future.

It’s so exciting testing out the new equipment, we really are like kids at Christmastime and its unbelievable the amount of different moods and backdrops that can be created just by changing the lightning by the slightest touch. So we can move from soft and stunning ballet leotards and Pointe shoes to fresh and funky urban dancewear hoodies and dance tops.

This new photo studio and equipment means that our new leotards, dance shoes and accessories will be available online for our customers to buy so much sooner than in the past, there will be no more travelling to different photo studios around the country and sometimes even across the seas to Europe, no more waiting to look at the proofs and then waiting some more for the approved artwork and photos to be sent to us before uploading them onto our website www.dancedirect.com. Literally within moments after the pictures have been taken we will be able to see them on screen and look at the clarity and quality of the images.

Customers will need to watch out on our website for new product images and maybe even some video footage capturing ballet and hip hop dancing at its best.
