Kids Week

Official London Theatre's Kids Week is back this summer, giving theatre lovers the opportuity to essentially take a child to the theatre for free when accompanied by a full paying adult, to different shows throughout August. Over 30 shows are participating in the scheme for performances from 1 - 31 August, with Kids Week being all about encouraging children into the theatre. To this end, attendees can book a maximum of eight tickets, and there should be no more than four adults in the booking party. If there are four children or more, they must be accompanied by a minimum of two adults.

During Kids Week, a child (increased to aged 17 and under) goes free to selected shows when accompanied by a full paying adult. However for this year, the set up will be slightly different, but with the same money-saving deal. Instead of purchasing one full price ticket and one free child ticket, the Kids Week offer will be presented as two half price tickets. As always, additional children go half price too.

For show-linked activities, the Official London Theatre Family Fun webpage contains lots that families can enjoy independently. There will be lots of theatre-based fun for children to take part in, with games and quizzes to colouring sheets and sing-a-longs, so there’s plenty to unlock their imagination and get creative with all things theatre, igniting a lifelong love of the sector.

Some shows will sell Kids Week tickets with social distancing, but please be advised that when restrictions are eased the seats around those booked may be sold too. If Kids Week is unable to go ahead, tickets will be exchanged or refunded, and until then, all government guidelines will be followed. The Society of London Theatre and UK Theatre has developed an industry-wide ‘See it Safely’ mark, so audiences can feel confident and safe knowing that the venue is COVID-secure and will be following the latest government guidelines.
