Do you not make wider fit dance shoes and if not, why not? I am a size 5 W and to get the right width, I had to go to a 6 and 1/2 which were like dancing in clown's shoes. The majority of dancers are not just slim ballerinas, they also include older women who do circle/folk/line dancing and should also be catered for and many of us have wider feet. What am i supposed to do to find a wider fit dance shoe? Trainers are inappropriate because they mostly have rigid soles and doing delicate steps and turning around in them is a nightmare. Any solutions would be most welcome. Thank you.

Thank you for your message. Most of our 1st Position shoes are suited to a medium foot, we do appreciate this does not fit all dancers. Jazz shoes should feel snug on the foot, similar to how a sock may feel. Over time, jazz shoes will naturally mold to the shape of the foot. We would suggest trying a different brand, Bloch tend to come up slightly wider than other brands. They have told us their medium fit is actually medium to wide. If you would like a similar style we would suggest the Bloch NEO Flex Slip on jazz shoes, the only difference being they are slip on and not lace up. I apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Is the sole split 50-50 Suede front & rubber heel? Or does your 'suede sole' cover the whole sole?
You could save the trouble and describe the shoes as Suede front & back, or Suede front - rubber heel?!
